Shih Hsin University has achieved an international reputation for being an academic institution of high standards with many of our graduates recognized as pioneers and leaders in their fields. As a leader among Taiwan’s institutions of higher education, we are responsible for instilling students with an education suitable for participating in the world community.

In order to meet the challenges of a growing global community, Shih Hsin University established the Center for International Academic Exchange (CIAE) in 1992. We are dedicated to increasing the opportunities for both students and faculty to engage in meaningful intellectual and cultural exchanges with institutions abroad while nurturing international awareness on our campus. In accordance with the academic exchange policy set forth by the Ministry of Education, the Center also established the Globalization Promoting Committee in 2002 and its role is to:

Promote and implement the academic exchange of information, educational resources, faculty and students.
Encourage academic cooperation between faculty members of our departments and overseas academic institutions.
Direct the World College’s overall cooperative education efforts with overseas institutions.
Provide information regarding international academic exchange to interested parties.
To receive and assist visitors and to handle other matters regarding international academic exchange involving Shih Hsin University.

Foreign delegations from many different countries come to visit our fine campus every year. We have hosted delegations from the U.S.A, Netherlands, England, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore as well as several universities and colleges from Mainland China including Beijing University, Liaoning University, Fudan University, and Communication University of China. Our outstanding facilities and high standards of educational excellence have left all of our visitors' with a very positive impression of our institution.

We have established ”sister school” relationships with 36 schools in the United States, England, Australia, and Asia. In order to evaluate every exchange program with Shih Hsin's sister institutions, the Center also established the International Scholarship Committee. The students we choose may receive a stipend to go abroad during the summer and fall semester for both travel and education. Students must demonstrate superior academic performance, initiative and a willingness to continue learning. The competition for these scholarships is intense but encourages an atmosphere for better academic performance and learning.
